帕特里克•罗斯福斯（Patrick Rothfuss）
作者系美国近年来最耀眼的史诗奇幻作家。他生于威斯康辛州，大学足足读了九年，先攻读化学工程专业后又转读心理学，最后才以英国文学学士毕业。“弑君者传奇”系列的雏形就在他广泛选修哲学、中世纪史、东方戏剧学、人类学、社会学等课程的过程中逐渐形成。
